Following the completion of the final phase related to the assessment of participants’ applications for the National Children’s Letter-writing Competition, coinciding with the end-of-year exams and tests period as well as with national exams, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has announced that the announcement of winners and prize-giving ceremony will take place in early July, as part of the celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the recovery of national sovereignty.

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has jointly launched a national awareness raising campaign against the risks of social media use, nationwide with the National Agency for the Security of Information Systems (ANSSI), on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 stretching until Friday, May 10th, 2024, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Waqfs, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Vocational Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Communication, the National Observatory of Civil Society, the High Council of Youth, the High Commissioner for Digitization in addition to the Command of the National Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has visited the province of Tiaret on Wednesday 24 April 2024 as part of a working and inspection visit to supervise the commissioning of some infrastructures of the sector for the benefit this area’s citizens.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has supervised on Tuesday, March 23, 2024, along with Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-up and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid as well as some heads of bodies and institutions, the opening of « Algeria Digital Summit » held at the Palace of culture Moufdi Zakaria, Algiers, on April 23-25, 2024.

Following the invitation by the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Condition, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications has partaken today in the information day organized by national solidarity sector aiming at integrating people with specific needs under the theme “People with specific needs …knowledge….work….integration” with the participation of the Counsellor of President of the Republic responsible for national eduction, higher education, vocational training and culture, as well as the Minister of Environment and some heads of State’s institutions and bodies.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, along with Minister of Vocational Training and Education Mr. Yacine Merabi and High Commissioner for Digitization Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Government Authority for Electronic Certification and the National Office for Development and Promotion of Vocational Training.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications Mr.Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised the opening of a conference on « Intelligent finance: to surf the future via AI », organized by « Algérie Poste » on Monday, April 15th, 2024 in Algiers, in the presence of the High Commissioner for Digitisation as well as the Chairman of Committee on Transport and Telecommunications of the People’s National Assembly .

Minister of Post and Telecommunications Mr.Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised, along with Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdelaziz Fayed and Governor of Banque d’Algérie, Me. Salah Eddine Taleb, on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, a consultation meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance to examine and follow up the file relating to the development of e-payment means.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised on Friday, March 8th, 2024, the signing ceremony of two agreements betwen Algérie Télécom and the Ministry of National Education in presence of Mr. Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, Adviser of President of the Republic in charge of education, higher education, vocational training and culture, as well as Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, High Commissioner to Digitalization.

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has launched, Monday, March 4th, 2024 a campaign of awareness raising and information about e-commerce and e-payment in all provinces of the country, until Thursday, March 7th, 2024, jointly with all the stakeholders like the National Observatory Of Civil Society, the High Council of the Youth, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Commerce and Exports Promotion, SATIM ( Automated Interbank Transactions and Electronic Banking Company), G.I.E MONETIQUE (Electronic Transactions Economic Interest Group), banks, Algérie Poste, Algérie Télécom in addition to mobile telephony operators.

On February 29th, 2024, Mr. Karim Bibi Triki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines, and Mr. Mohamed Hamel, Secretary-General of Gas Exporting Countries Forum, oversaw the ceremony of issuing a postage stamp on Algeria’s hosting of the seventh summit of Gas Exporting Countries Forum during the period from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024.
The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) is an intergovernmental organization bringing together the main gas exporting countries in the world, in a bid to support their sovereign rights on their natural gas resources and to foster cooperation and dialogue in the issues related to gas.
The GECF includes (12) member countries and (7) observer countries from four continents, representing 69% of the world gas reserves, 39% of the marketed production and 40% of the world gas exports.
The 12 member countries are: Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
The seven observer countries are: Angola, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mozambique and Peru.
This Summit’s organization in Algiers reflects the important role Algeria plays within this forum and on the global energy scene, in a conjuncture marked by the crucial importance of gas in the energy security.
The postage stamp model dedicated to this event has been designed by the use of the letter (ج) referring to “Algeria” in Arabic under the form of number “7” (referring to the Summit’s edition) with the national colors, as well as a gas flame , which are surrounded by the Forum’s logo. The whole enhanced by the fabulous Algerian ZELIDJ and the image of Chahid monument, symbole de bienvenue en Algérie, pays organisateur de cette manifestation, symbol of welcome in Algeria, country organizing this event.

s part of the preparation for Algeria’s participation in the International letter-writing competition for young people 2024, the National letter-writing competition for young people has been launched for the 2024 edition with the theme proposed by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) on sustainable development as follows “Write a letter to future generations about the world you hope they inherit.“

As part of the celebration of the Safer Internet Day, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has planned a range of activities related to awareness rising about the risks of internet misuse by children and the preventive measures.
