As part of his commitments to achieve a quality leap in the post and telecommunications sector, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sidali Zerouki has launched a series of practical measures and consultations to improve the sector’s efficiency and reinforce its services. These steps comply with the orientations of President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and aspire to meet citizens’ expectations.
In alignment with Algeria's steadfast stance in support of the noble Palestinian cause, and as an eloquent expression of solidarity from the Arab nations with their Palestinian brothers, the idea of issuing a unified Arab postage stamp emerged. This stamp symbolizes solidarity and unity with the wounded people of Gaza, who have shown remarkable resilience, bravery, and dignity in enduring the oppressive occupation.
Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has supervised on Saturday, November 16, 2024 along with Minister of Finance, Mr. Laaziz Fayed as well as Advisor to the President of the Republic responsible for finance, banks, budget, foreign exchange reserves, public procurement and international regulations, Mr.Mohamed Boukhari, the signing ceremony of a framework agreement on cooperation between the Company for the Support of Digital Development (EADN) and public sector banks.
On Monday, November 11, 2024, Minister Karim Bibi Triki received the Director of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Regional Office for the Arab States, Mr. Adel Darwish, on the occasion of his participation in the regional workshop organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, by Algeria Telecom and in cooperation with the ITU (ITU Regional Office for the Arab States) under the theme: “Towards Universal and Meaningful Connectivity for Arab Region”.
Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has chaired on November 11-12 in Algiers, the opening of the ITU regional workshop organized, under the aegis of his ministry, by Algérie Télécom jointly with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) (Arab regional office) under the theme « Towards universal and meaningful connectivity for Arab region ».

In Ain Defla province, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has supervised the official launch of the program related to the « Universal service of electronic communications » , on Monday, October 21st, in order to cover 1400 areas with low population density with public network of mobile communications.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi Triki has hosted a delegation of Ooredoo group led by its CEO Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo as well as Deputy CEO Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Thani, Group Regional CEO Ahmad Al-Naama as well as CEO of Ooredoo Algeria Roni Tohme beside some executives of the Group working in Algeria, on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 in his ministerial department.

In line with e-payment dynamic our country has adopted and its massive use, in view of the ongoing rise in the number of Edahabia card, about 13.7 million, and of BaridiMob subscribers, i.e. roughly 4.5 million, and in a bid to implement the Government’s roadmap relating to e-payment development, mainly the information and awareness raising, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, jointly with the Ministry of National Defense, the Agency for Information Systems Safety, the Command of National Gendarmerie, the General Directorate of National Security as well as Algérie Poste corporation, launches an awareness campaign for a safe use of Edahabia card and BaridiMob application from 24 to 26 September, 2024.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has chaired an orientation meeting by videoconference with regional directors of post and telecommunications in order to inquire about the progress rate of the project related to the connection of 1400 low-density areas (less than 2000 inhabitants) nationwide, with the public network of mobile telecommunications, launched lately.
