As part of the implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, aimed at encouraging the private sector to invest and strengthen its contribution to the development of the national economy, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, paid a field visit on Monday, September 29, 2025, to “HB Technologies”, a company specialized in technological solutions, particularly electronics and highly secure smart cards.

In anticipation of the 2025-2026 academic year, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Sid Ali Zerrouki has paid, on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 a field visit to the Higher National School of ICT and Post field to inspect the various structures and facilities dedicated to teaching and training, beside the buildings for hosting and catering services. To that end, the minister gave a series of instructions which are necessary to ensure a successful academic year for this school’s students

As part of fostering intersectoral coordination as well as anchoring the principles of solidarity and government participatory action, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki has hosted, on Monday, September 10th, 2025, at his ministry’s headquarters, Miniser of Youth in charge of the Higher Council for Youth, Mr. Mustapha Hidaoui.

As part of the implementation of the action plan related to the sector of post and telecommunications, notably in its section linked to the improvement of coverage with mobile telephony nationwide, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki has chaired, on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, an assessment meeting with mobile telephony operators in presence of Chairman of the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications (ARPCE), Mr.Mohamed El Hadi Hannachi.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki has received on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, CEO of African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), Mrs. Nardos Bekele Thomas. This meeting was an opportunity to shed lihgt on Algeria’s achievements in terms of reinforcement of its telecoms and ICT infrastructure as well as its huge efforts in training and capacity building, mainly in new technologies industry.

As part of his round of visits to the national provinces, Mr.Sid Ali Zerrouki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications has gone on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 to Batna where he assessed the sector’s situation and the services provided to citizens while inaugurating several postal and telecoms establishments.
As part of the preparations for Algeria’s hosting of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025), scheduled to take place from September 4 to 10, 2025, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, chaired, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, a briefing session attended by senior officials of the Ministry as well as executives from fixed and mobile telephony operators. The meeting aimed to review the final arrangements and fine-tune all details related to the organizational aspects concerning telecommunications.

As part of the official visit undertaken by H.E. Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, President of the Republic, to the Republic of Italy, during which he chaired the proceedings of “the 5th High-Level Algerian-Italian Government Summit”, Mr. Sid Ali ZERROUKIi, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, signed—alongside Mr. Adolfo URSO, Italian Minister of Enterprises and Industry a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening, promoting, and developing cooperation in the field of postal and telecommunications services between the two countries.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki has chaired, on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 at his ministry’s headquarters, along with Minister of Communication, Mr. Mohamed Meziane the start of a training course about 5G for journalists in presence of many experts of this field.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications M.Sid Ali Zerrouki has chaired, with Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the National Community abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, on Tuesday, July 16, 2025 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algiers, the signing ceremony of a framework agreement between this ministerial department and Algérie Poste.

The latest edition of the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) ICT Development Index (IDI), released in late June 2025, indicates that Algeria now ranks 74th globally. This marks a significant advance of 15 places compared to last year’s ranking, where it stood at 89th.
