Minister of Post and Telecommunications M.Sid Ali Zerrouki has chaired, with Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the National Community abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, on Tuesday, July 16, 2025 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algiers, the signing ceremony of a framework agreement between this ministerial department and Algérie Poste. This agreement is about launching a new innovative service for the delivery and distribution of documents to be legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offering a safe and regulated processing of documents submitted to post offices by citizens who can track this process as of the documents’ submission to their sending to the competent civil status services under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, until their delivery to their owners once legalized. This is conducted based on a trustworthy and firm logistic process pursuant to the applicable administrative standards. In his speech, the minister said this initiative
is in line with the ubiquitous nature of the post and telecoms sector in order to enhance postal services via Algérie Poste’s modernization, the diversification of its offers, the promotion of its value-added services, the reinforcement of e-payment and e-commerce to be in line with the global national dynamic in terms of digital transformation. He added, this agreement is a practical example of institutional integration aiming at simplifying the administrative procedures, gaining time and efforts for the benefit of citizens.
