As part of the diversification of services provided by the Post Office, and in order to create value-added services helping to alleviate pressure on post offices, the sector aims to increase the number of Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) to more than 3.400 by the end of 2024.
600 new ATMs have been put into service over the last two years, an increase of 42% in the fleet
In this regard, a project was launched during the year 2022 for the acquisition of 600 ATMs, already put into service, an increase of 42% in the total number, which made it possible to increase to 1.992 ATMs at the end of november 2023.
It should also be noted that at the end of 2023, 61 self-service spaces were opened throughout the national territory, including the ten new wilayas, knowing that in 2020, no similar spaces existed throughout the country.
In addition, it should be precised that the Automatic Teller Machines allow EDAHABIA’s card holders to benefit, in particular, from the following services:
- Cash withdrawal (service available for interbank card holders);
- Consultation of the Postal Current Account’s balance;
- Consultation of the mini statement of the last ten (10) operations carried out by EDAHABIA card;
- Edition of the Postal Identification Statement “RIP”;
- Ordering a check book;
- Transfers of money from the postal current account to another postal current account;
- Charging mobile credit for all customers (Mobilis, Djezzy and Ooredoo);
- Introduction or modification of the mobile telephone number;
- Cardless withdrawal.
