With more than 25 years of experience with expertise in strategic and operational management in varied and complementary sectors like telecoms, technologies and consulting services, including project management related to infrastructures deployment along with supporting financial management beside the back up of the emergence, mutability and sustainability of the ecosystems connected to innovation, launch and growth of start-ups, Mr.Sid Ali Zerouki has a varied professional background in national and multinational companies as well as mandates in continental and international institutions dedicated to inter-states cooperation and partnerships in the ICTs and digital transformation industry and also entrepreunership initiatives.
He started his professional career in 1998 as a head of IT department for EGIZIK Skikda, a Sonatrach subsidiary. From 2000 to 2013, he progressed in many high positions within many national and multinational operators and equipment suppliers, especially as Vice-President of Delivery & Services for North Africa and here, he chaired the launch of 3G network for the three mobile operators in Algeria.
Between 2014-2016, he worked for Millicom International as Africa Operations Manager covering 9 countries heading a group within many African subsidiaries.
In 2017, he created Revotech , a firm operating in the ICT field and was its Director General. In 2018, he was appointed CEO of Rail Telecom SPA, a joint venture between Kapsch Carrier Com (ex Nortel) and National railway company (SNTF) to steer the development of leading-edge network architectures and telecom roadmaps.
In 2020, he embarked on a new phase within the Global Startups Committee of the WBAF as a vice-president, for two years, during which he supervised initiatives for investment promotion and startups growth. As such, he contributed to represent the Algerian startup ecosystem worldwide and, to boost partnerships with the stakeholders in over 20 countries for developping the best practices in supporting startups and investment.
Mr. Zerouki has been also working as Director General of Algeria Venture since June 2021, in which he participated to implement the national strategy for the promotion and management of the supportive structures for startups, inter alia, via incubators, accelerators to develop innovation, as well as to enhance and promote Algerian startups internationally.
In May 2024, he has been appointed President and Co-Founder of African Federation for Business Angels Networks (AFBAN) responsible for promoting innovation and extending African startups’ access to funding.
As for his academic background, Mr. Zerouki has an executive MBA from IAE Paris Dauphine, a Master’s degree in Law Business Economy from the University of Paris I – Panthéon – Sorbonne as well as an MBA in Technology-Telecom, Informa Academy UK. Besides, he has an Applied IT Engineering Diploma, from the University of Skikda.
