The first manoeuvre on the regional scale took place in Tébessa province with the participation of the sector on May 20th, 2024 as part of a simulation of a fire in this area.

As part of the action aiming at ensuring the conformity of activities of the post and telecoms institutions and organisms with the provisions of law 18-07 relating to the protection of natural people while processing personal data, a symposium via videoconference has been organized about the support and awareness raising of the sector’s actors in 58 provinces, about the need for the strict respect of the content of the legal framework aforementioned, while processing personal data.

These philatelic issues are meant to sustain the sector’s contribution as one of the national economy’s pillars.

Following the completion of the final phase related to the assessment of participants’ applications for the National Children’s Letter-writing Competition, coinciding with the end-of-year exams and tests period as well as with national exams, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has announced that the announcement of winners and prize-giving ceremony will take place in early July, as part of the celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the recovery of national sovereignty.

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has jointly launched a national awareness raising campaign against the risks of social media use, nationwide with the National Agency for the Security of Information Systems (ANSSI), on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 stretching until Friday, May 10th, 2024, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Waqfs, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Vocational Education and Training, the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Communication, the National Observatory of Civil Society, the High Council of Youth, the High Commissioner for Digitization in addition to the Command of the National Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has visited the province of Tiaret on Wednesday 24 April 2024 as part of a working and inspection visit to supervise the commissioning of some infrastructures of the sector for the benefit this area’s citizens.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has supervised on Tuesday, March 23, 2024, along with Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-up and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid as well as some heads of bodies and institutions, the opening of « Algeria Digital Summit » held at the Palace of culture Moufdi Zakaria, Algiers, on April 23-25, 2024.

Following the invitation by the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Condition, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications has partaken today in the information day organized by national solidarity sector aiming at integrating people with specific needs under the theme “People with specific needs …knowledge….work….integration” with the participation of the Counsellor of President of the Republic responsible for national eduction, higher education, vocational training and culture, as well as the Minister of Environment and some heads of State’s institutions and bodies.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, along with Minister of Vocational Training and Education Mr. Yacine Merabi and High Commissioner for Digitization Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Government Authority for Electronic Certification and the National Office for Development and Promotion of Vocational Training.

Minister of Post and Telecommunications Mr.Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised the opening of a conference on « Intelligent finance: to surf the future via AI », organized by « Algérie Poste » on Monday, April 15th, 2024 in Algiers, in the presence of the High Commissioner for Digitisation as well as the Chairman of Committee on Transport and Telecommunications of the People’s National Assembly .
