Minister of Post and Telecommunications Mr.Karim Bibi Triki has supervised along with Director of Prime Minister’s office, Mr. Mourad Slimane Benamer as well as Minister of Energy and Mines Mr. Mohamed Arkab, on Thursday, April 9th, 2024, the ceremony of the first-day issue of three postage-stamps about the three main mines in Algeria, i.e. the zinc mine of Tala Hamza (Béjaia), the phosphate mine of Bled El Hadba (Tébessa), and the iron mine of Gara Djebilet (Tindouf). These philatelic issues are meant to sustain the sector’s contribution as one of the national economy’s pillars.
This action took place during the ceremony organized under the high patronage of Prime Minister to commemorate the 58th anniversary of mines nationalization and the 57th anniversary of the creation of the national corporation for research and mining exploitation « SONAREM », under the slogan « Algeria’s mines – underground treasures for strategic ambitions”.
During this event, there was a stand dedicated to the exhibition of various philatelic issues about mines and the numerous mining resources of Algeria.
