Electronic signature on diplomas: subject of a cooperation agreement between Government Authority for Electronic Certification and National Office for Development and Promotion of Vocational Training

Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has supervised, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, along with Minister of Vocational Training and Education Mr. Yacine Merabi and High Commissioner for Digitization Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Government Authority for Electronic Certification and the National Office for Development and Promotion of Vocational Training.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the awards ceremony for the winners of the National Competition entitled «The innovation challenge to develop a digital platform for distance learning», organised by the vocational education and training sector on Knowledge Day, 16 April each year.

After presenting the main indicators of the sector’s contribution to the dynamics of digital transformation in various sectors, mainly as regards

the imrpovement of Internet connection and the quality of Internet speed, as well as the widespread use of electronic payment and the promotion of financial inclusion, the Minister has, in his speech, shared the content of the initiative taken by the two sectors under the agreement, as part of an approach aimed at achieving a qualitative leap in the treatment of the procedures adopted in distance training.

He added that the cooperation project aspires to set up an electronic signature platform on diplomas, with the possibility of its transmission to the concerned parties including learners, digitally and instantaneously with a high security and reliability.

In the same vein, the Minister indicated that this multi-sectoral coordination initiative puts the citizen at the core of the concerns of the postal and telecommunications sector which roadmap aims to serve the citizen and improve the conditions of work and hospitality, in accordance with the Government’s action plan to implement the President of the Republic’s commitments to achieve a digital transformation.
