As part of following up the implementation of the government roadmap concerning e-payment development, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki has paid, on Monday, June 16th, 2025, a field visit to the manufacturing and personalization Center of electronic payment cards located in Birtouta, Algiers.
This visit is meant to inspect on the spot the implementation of the last instructions of the minister as regards the increase of the production capacity fit with the latest technologies adapted to the highest standards of safety and security.
This process will contribute to speed up the achievement and delivery time of Edahabia cards which number is currently around 15 million cards in circulation as well as to support the financial inclusion and provide the suitable conditions for e-payment development in Algeria.
The minister concluded his visit by insisting on the need for benefiting from these capacities to diversify the wide range of services provided to citizens via e-payment card, on demand, and this offer will be announced in the forthcoming weeks.
