Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim Bibi Triki along with his counterpart Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Mr.Yacine El Mahdi Oualid have visited « EDUCTECK » exhibition on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at the exhibition palace, pins Maritimes, Algiers due to take place on September 18-21, 2024.
In its third edition, this event, organized under the slogan « The collective intelligence at the service of learning », is meant as a space for stregthening the ICTs use, innovative methods and tools to promote learning approaches as well as to use innovation and new technology to meet learners’ needs.
After visiting the exhibition stands and being aware of the activities and programs scheduled on the sidelines of this event, the Minister asserted the central position of the ICTs in the approach adopted by the State to foster education means and tools. Furthermore, he highlighted the vital role of internet in facilitating the access to knowledge, courses, research, exercises, their exchange and creation in the information society.
To attain this goal of generalization of the ICTs use in learning, the minister underscored this was possible thanks to the huge investments the State has made to develop basic infrastructures, which led to encouraging achievements mainly thanks to the internet connection. Indeed, the total number of connected houses to fixed internet has exceeded 5.8 millions, including 1.4 million households connected to the FTTH.
