Minister of Post and Telecommunications Mr.Sid-Ali Zerrouki has supervised on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 the announcement ceremony of the results of the « National letter-writing competition for young people » -2025 edition, in presence of Mrs. Nadjia Djilali, Minister of Environment and Quality of Life in addition to senior officials of the government.
The minister has praised, in his speech, the organization of this event, which his ministry engaged to organize jointly with its partners, to prepare Algeria’s participation in the international competition under the aegis of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
Furthermore, he underscored this year’s edition has witnessed a massive participation of over 88 thousand pupils, including 682 people with specific needs. He added this initiative aims to not only discover and refine young talents in writing, but also to encourage them to speak up their minds in crucial issues relating to their present and future such as this year’s topic, i.e. the marine
environment and the protection of oceans.
The first winner nationwide is « Motasim Bilah Watek Madani » from Batna province.
For people with specific needs, the laureates are ranked by order as follows:
- Dikra Ines Chiter from Sétif province
- Abla Kessouri from Oran province
- Omaima Bakhbakh from Annaba province
Besides, the two pupils « Dikra Karbou from Laghouat » and « Bouchra Nour Elyakine Kedar from Mostaganem » have also been rewarded as encouragement.
As regards the winners from national public schools, they are ranked from the second to the tenth positions as follows:
- Second position : Deradji Rokya (Mila)
- Third position equally between: Boussaid Sara (Tizi Ouzou) and Darine Chouader (Sétif)
- Fourth position equally between Ines Bouchemla (Jijel) and Nour Elhouda Berabah (Boumerdes)
- Fifth position : Boutebcha Amani (Mila), Melissa Amour (Sétif) and Chetouh Bouchra (Biskra)
- Sixth position: Layal Ben Kerifa (Mostaganem)
- Seventh position equally between Chahra Loudjain Hibat Errahman (Saida) and Massilia Charef (Tipaza)
- Eighth position: Nada Berabah (Boumerdes)
- Ninth position: Medjdoub Basma (Mostaganem)
- Tenth position : Amina Boudiaf (Msila)
On this occasion, an exhibition about the « marine environment » has been jointly organized by the Ministry of Environement and the Quality of Life and that of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Condition as well as the National Organ for the Protection and Promotion of Childhood and civil protection departments.
