The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Karim BIBI TRIKI, has supervised on Monday, December 18, 2023, the opening of a workshop organized in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (SFI) of the World Bank on “TowerCo” and international experiences in this area.
In his opening statement to the workshop, the Minister noted that the ICT sector knows a continuous dynamic. Indeed, once the established goals have been achieved, new challenges emerge because of accelerated innovation, whether technological or economic.
Further, he stressed that the organization of this workshop is at the heart of the sector’s approach, which launched several workshops in response to new challenges and opportunities, as is the subject of this workshop.
In the workshop program, attended by representatives of various actors and sectors concerned, has seen a number of interventions was presented by IFC and World Bank experts, as well as representatives of the Regulatory Authority of Post and Electronic Communications and electronic communications operators.
These interventions were continued by a rich debate about TowerCos models, comparative experiences and relevant good practices.
