The issuance of a postage stamp under the title ” with Gaza “on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

In alignment with Algeria’s steadfast stance in support of the noble Palestinian cause, and as an eloquent expression of solidarity from the Arab nations with their Palestinian brothers, the idea of issuing a unified Arab postage stamp emerged. This stamp symbolizes solidarity and unity with the wounded people of Gaza, who have shown remarkable resilience, bravery, and dignity in enduring the oppressive occupation.

The Gaza stamp embodies deep symbolism in its design, conveying an unwavering rejection of aggression, a firm resolve to defend the land and honor, and a steadfast commitment to resilience despite the destructive brutality and unprecedented massacres. It signifies a continued struggle until the dawn of liberation from oppression and the restoration of the homeland, crowned by the establishment of the Palestinian state with Al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital.

This message stems from the startling image of hope shining in the eyes of a Gazan child, adorned with the traditional Palestinian keffiyeh, the symbol of identity and resistance. This wounded child yearns for freedom, standing in front of a building crowned by the emblem of knowledge destroyed unjustly, in defiance of basic human rights and values.

Gaza preserves a unique essence of the authentic Palestinian character, deeply rooted in a history spanning thousands of years, making it a significant center of rich and diverse cultural and historical heritage.
