Post and telecommunications sector participated on May 30, 2024 in a simulation exercise of the outbreak of a fire at the Sassel forest, province of Ain Temouchent, organized by local authorities.
The sector’s contribution is part of the activation of the connection and telecommunications module through the operators Algérie Télécoms and Algérie Télécoms Satellite as well as the mobile telephone operators Mobilis, Djezzy and Ooredoo, under the supervision and organization of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications jointly with the province directorate of Ain Temouchent.
In this context, the various operators proceeded to the commissioning of mobile base stations and satellite stations (VSAT) and the related equipment. This allowed the provision of different telephony and internet services as well as a quality connection at various operational command centers, thus contributing to provide the appropriate conditions for the proper functioning of this exercise.
