Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, is participating, starting today, June 23, 2025, in the activities of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF). Organized under the auspices of the United Nations, the event is taking place in Lillestrom (Oslo), Norway, under the theme: “Building Digital Governance Together.”
Mr. Zerrouki will take part in several scheduled events, particularly high-level sessions addressing important topics related to the technical and strategic governance of networks, strengthening the resilience of communication infrastructures, the sovereign management of sensitive digital resources, as well as issues of digital security, trust, and interoperability in a rapidly changing global technological environment. He will also hold bilateral meetings with several counterparts and stakeholders.
It’s worth noting that the Minister attended a preparatory meeting today for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20), which will be held next July. This meeting gathered a number of African ministers in charge of communications, as well as representatives from relevant international organizations.
The Internet Governance Forum is a crucial global platform for multilateral dialogue on Internet governance issues, annually bringing together government officials, international organizations, technical experts, and private sector representatives.
