Use of e-payment tools in national education sector

In 2020, a partnership agreement has been signed between Algerie Poste corporation and the National Center for the Integration of Pedagogical Innovations and Development of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, by virtue of which national exams fees can be paid online for the three cycles (primary, middle and secondary).

This agreement allows the electronic payment of fees related to registration to school exams, competitions and professional exams via Edahabia card via a platform setup for this purpose by National Education Ministry to enable, for the first time, candidates to pay online their fees without moving to post offices.

In implementation of the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune about the necessary improvement of public service in national education sector and to better take over pupils by making their school life easy, an agreement was signed in 2022 between Algerie Poste corporation and the National School Publications Office allowing all parents registered in parents space in the computing system of the national education sector, to pay remotely school books via Edahabia card or payment postal order without liquidity.

In addition, it was decided that from the 2024 session, the payment of the registration fees for the exams of the Intermediate Teaching Certificate (BEM) and the Baccalaureate (BAC), will be made exclusively, via the cash card «Edahabia».
