Commemorating panafrican post day

Algeria, like other member states of the Pan-African Posts Union (PAPU), celebrates the African Post Day, on January 18th, of each year. This anniversary’s commemoration dates back in its symbolism to PAPU’s foundation date on, January 18th, 1980.

Our Sector marks this day, in particular, through activities and events at Sector’s wilaya directorates level, such as the organization of post’ open days for citizens’ benefit, the exhibition of postal activities tools, as well as media crossings at local radio stations.

This opportunity also allows to review Sector’s achievements, including those related to the theme of each edition, chosen by the PAPU, as the theme chosen for the year 2023 « The Post : An established promoter of cross-border e-commerce in Africa».
