Training Policy

The Ministry of Post and Information and Communication Technology Sector leads a training policy for :

  •  Train skills in various areas related to the sector's activities
  •  Monitor developments in new technologies and businesses
  •  Value acquired professional experiences of managers and workers
  •  Provide employment and career prospects to new recruits in the sector
  •  Ensure ongoing training for all workers

 

 

Several types of training are offered and concern all workers in the Head Office and Directorates of Wilaya including :

Gradute education
This area has two institutes under the joint supervision of MPTIC and MHESR.

 INPTIC(National Institute of Post and Information and Communication Technology) is specialized in education as part of the LMD system. On average over 100 Bachelors and Masters Students are trained annually.

 INTTIC (National Institute of Telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology) is specialized in the classical ‘Chartered Engineer’. On average more than 100 engineers are trained annually.

Access to both institutes is done the basis of a national competition for holders of baccalaureates in science and mathematics.
Continuing education
Continuing education encompasses all aspects of education related to re-training and development of employees for both the administrative and technical domains. For that purpose several agreements have been signed, with institutions certified by the State, public or private, to meet industry demand.
Statutory training
Several statutory types of training necessary to promote the public service ranks are offered to officials in the administrative position in the following grades: Chief Inspector, Inspector, Principal Professional Worker, Principal Specialist Worker, Technician and Superior Technician

International
Cooperation
The training component as part of international cooperation is crucial for knowledge sharing, exchange of expertise and capacity building. Several training activities abroad are also available to industry professionals in new techniques related to the Post and ICT. Exchanges within the framework of bilateral agreements are a suitable exchange platform for the improvement of the sector managers, lecturers and researchers with institutions under authority, as well as students. In another aspect, a dozen scholarships are offered annually to African students to train Chartered Engineers at INTTIC. In total more than 500 scholarships were awarded to most countries in the Africa and some Arab countries.
