International cooperation

In the pursuit of promoting Algeria internationally, the international cooperation becomes a major player in the Ministry’s action plan. Therefore, by seeking to develop the field of Post and ICT through modernization, adapting and generalising telecommunications’ infrastructure, promoting the use of ICT and the integrating our society in information and science based economy; the objectives sought through International cooperation are reflected mainly in the following projects :

  •  The appropriation knowledge on new technologies, and know-how
  •  The transfer of technology,
  •  Capacity building


Bilateral Cooperation

The sector works on shaping the appropriate strategy with operators, agencies and institutions, so as to adopt accurate objectives that would enable them to boost their technological and productive capacities and transform their economies.
From there, the Ministry establishes, promotes and strengthens strategic partnerships with several countries, by developing cooperation programs which fall under within these objectives and those aimed by the government action plan.
Besides, the Ministry of Post and information and Communications Technologies maintains relationships with its counterparts in several countries and participates in Joint Commissions, as well to preparing of the High Commissions and Political Consultative Committees.
A number of Memorandums of Understanding, Agreements and Conventions in the field of Post and ICT were signed between Algeria and with its global partners. An additional number is being examined, revised or in the process of being launched.


Multilateral Cooperation

The sector of Post and Information and Communications Technology is run at the international level by organizations that bring together various countries worldwide to agree on joint programs and master plans with heavy consequences on the future of the global economy.
Algeria, like other countries, has joined this global system and actively participates in various events at international, regional and sub-regional in relation with the development of post and telecommunications / ICT, via the Ministry of Post and Information and Communication Technologies.
