Minister of Post and Telecoms Mr. Karim Bibi-Triki has participated in the proceedings of the 25th meeting of the Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers on Sunday, December 26th, 2021.

This meeting follows the preliminary meetings of the permanent commission of post and the permanent commission of telecoms and information as well as the executive bureau. This meeting sees to draft reports and recommendations adopted in the held session.

In his communication, the Minister first highlighted the Algerian State’s efforts in terms of the generalization of citizens’ equitable access to telecoms services, then some postal indicators that significantly contributed to support financial inclusion nationwide.

Furthermore, he focused on the need for concentrating Arab efforts on helping the Palestinian State to establish reliable and modern telecoms systems in a bid to allow it have its legitimate postal rights through the implementation of IUT’s and UPU’s pertaining decisions, to continue the support so as to remove the constraints and restrictions as well to facilitate technical assistance of the State to be able to build a safe Palestinian information society based on modern technology and efficient and suitable partnerships, and to help it get the full membership to the UPU in the exceptional conference due to be held in 2023 by making up an Arab group responsible for this step.
